Scbs John James, with 210 bbls mackerel; Glover, 200 do; Arizona, 380 do; Root Ripley.375; Henrietta Franklin, 340 do; Flora, 146 do. large ship building at Bath for Capt Pendleton of Searsport, is nearly plank-' ed up and will be ready to launch in a few weeks. Her keel is 260 feet long and her top 288 feet over all; depth 29 feet, width 45 tons, and will register about 2400 tons. Tbe large ship in McDonald's yard, is nearly all pianked up aud will be the largest ship ever built in Maine. Her foremast is 90 feet long, mainmast 88 feet and mizzenmast 82 feet.

Tbe length of the mainmast, trom deck to truck will be 171 feet. It has taken 120 tons salt to fill in the frame and 130 tons iron will have been used when the ship is completed. A Nash, of Harrington, has a barquentino of about 560 tons on tke stocks to be off this fall. She will bo owned by the builders, Winslew Co, of Portland, and others, and is to be commanded by Capt Crowley, late of schr Hattie King. The new schr Bibber, in yard at Bath, is to be launched this week.

Her dimensions are: 162 feet keel, 36 feet 6 inches wide and 18 feet deep. She is of the same model as the James Lowell. She is owned in the vicinity of Bath and is to be commanded by Capt BeDj Pink ham of Boothbay. Hawley, of Bath, has centracted to build a ship for New York pasties. Tbe ship in the Chapman's yard at Bath is to be called Albert Ropes aud will be launched about the last of October.

The four-masted schr in yard at Bath, will he launched this week. Ship Dakota, 1271 tons, built in 1881 at Bath by Wm Rogers, has been sold at New York on German account. Ship John Berry, Watts, at New York from Antwerp, reports light westerly winds and calms np to Sept 11, when she encountered a heavy gale from WSW to NNK; on the 14th, lat 39 40, Ion 60, had a hurricane from SW to NE lasting six hours; lost mainsail and fore topsail; on the 18th, had another hurricane, which blew with great violence for three hours; lost main topgallantmast and damaged sails. On the 20th took off the crew of barque Halcyon of New York. Barque Halcyon, from New York for Cette, before reported dismasted at sea. was abandoned Sept 20th and Capt Kenney and bis crew were taken on board on the ship John Berry, which arrived at New York 24th. The Halcyon registered 026 tons, was built at Bath and hailed from New York.

Barque Anna Walsh, of Portland, which was driven ashore at Buenos Ayres Sept 24. will be a total wreck. She was bound to Turks Island and Philadelphia.
