Tuesday, February 20, 2007 LOCAL Morning Sentinel: Obituaries ROLAND R. MICHAUD moved to Sidney at the age of 2 with her parents, the late Walter. E. and Lilla Spencer Noble. An older.

sister, Theda, died in childhood. She was educated in Sidney schools and attended Williams High School in Oakland. Evelyn was married in 1933 to Wendell Bragg and they raised their family and operated a dairy farm in Sidney for 62 years until Wendell's death in 1995. She was baptized in Sidney Methodist Church and after her marriage, participated actively in Sidney Second Baptist Church for the remainder of her life, where she was presented a certificate of Honorary Membership on her 90th birthday. She was a lifelong member of Sidney Grange, Order of Eastern Star, Kennebec County extension, and Fire Department Auxiliary.

Evelyn devoted her life to her family and others, offering hospitality in her home, visiting and caring for the sick, serving others, and being "Grammy" to many persons outside her own family. Through the years she and her father, playing piano and violin, three sons and wives, Harland and Shirley Bragg of Sidney, David and Kathy Bragg of West Rockport, and Wayne and Patty Bragg of Sidney; 20 grandchildren; and more than 50 great -grandchildren. Friends are invited to the visitation to be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Sidney, followed by a funeral service and celebration of Evelyn's life at 6 p.m.

Burial will be in, Springer Cemetery in Sidney in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sidney Second Baptist Church (Nursery Renovation Fund) or the Methodist Church. of Rangeley died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Orchard Park Rehab and Living Center in Farmington where he had been a resident since January following a short illness. He was born July 2, 1919, in Oquossoc, a son of Charles N. and Louise (Normand) Jacques. He was educated in the schools of Oquossoc, Rumford and graduated from Rangeley High School and later graduated from Auburn Maine School of Commerce.

Ralph served in the Army during World War II, being stationed in Europe. He worked for Bald Mt. for many years and during the winter months he worked at the Rangeley Redemption Center and in his woodworking shop. He made his home in the Rangeley region all his life. He served on the Rangeley Plan- ning Board for several years.

Ralph enjoyed fishing and being with his family and lifelong companion and business partner Joyce Blackwell. Ralph is survived by his grandnephews, Stephen, Christopher and John Philbrick; and grandniece Mary Philbrick and their families. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m Thursday, Feb. 22, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Rangeley.
